So here’s the deal. The curse of Hades runs in the blood of Dameon Rezil – Orion has the Chaos Moon mark, as does Aumerie. Any kids of Orion or Aumerie would have the mark as well. With Dameon being a walking beast of Hades, he’s got some power over his own blood – which is why he was so easily able to corrupt Orion and Aumerie into doing such horrible deeds. But he let Orion and Aumerie go on their own for far too long, and they began to break from his control, and began to know the error of their ways. Aumerie took and hid in the forests of Spielburg. Orion fled to Shapeir and sought out the Enchantress of Water, hoping her help could ‘wash’ away the corruption of his father. He knew that his father would seek him out, now that he was no longer under his sway. Now, because of his family’s deeds, his name had become taboo, akin to famous terrorists in our society. Orion still firmly believes that the only reason Aziza had let him into her home after he was honest about his name was because she knew she could easily overpower him if necessary. She had agreed to help him, had calmed his mind, and before she knew it, she had actually befriended a man who was considered one of the most evil beings alive. In time, their relationship grew, and Aziza finally allowed things to progress to the point that she invited him into her bedroom. She had thought long and hard about it, and was quite serious about it, for she had fully trusted the man she had come to know. But things apparently were not meant to be. Orion had sensed his father was getting close – the Chaos Moon tattoo began burning upon his arm. Aziza understood, and helped Orion flee the city… Only to realize the night he left that she had become with child. She chose to hide this child from the world – using the same magic that most Wizards had frowned upon (Baba Yaga and her “Froggie” spell; Ad Avis and his “True Inner Self” spell) – to hide her daughter in plain sight as a fish - the simple ruse of her having finally summoned a familiar. When nobody else was around, her daughter was a human - happy and being raised perfectly by a loving mother. The girl was informed early on about her heritage – as upon birth, she already had the Chaos Moon branded upon the back of her neck. In private, they were a loving mother and daughter, but to the rest of the world, they were the Enchantress Aziza and her Familiar, Gwendolyn. With the fear of her child’s safety, and too afraid to risk another child with the cursed mark of Hades’ champion upon it, Aziza had purposely, yet reluctantly, backed off on her relationship with Orion, much to his dismay. It broke her heart, for she truly cared for him, and she knew he loved her in return. Chester, Orion’s Familiar, for all his sarcasm, had figured out the truth somehow; perhaps on a whim, perhaps just a wild guess, but he never did explain to Aziza just how he knew – and together, Chester and Aziza had agreed that a fake relationship between Chester and Gwendolyn would be the perfect reason for Orion - who had become distant with Aziza - to have a reason to come back to Shapeir and visit. To let Orion, in a way, still be there for the daughter that he didn’t know about. To his credit, he liked Aziza’s supposed Familiar, especially with how she doted on him when he was around. Little did he know that it was just a daughter trying to have a relationship with her father. It’s not until later on that Aziza and Gwendolyn decide to show Orion the truth.
